The famous Elan Cafe is an instagrammable place to visit for a pretty piece of cake or a luxury latte. I visited both the Park Lane and Selfridges branches which were pretty in their own way.
Pros: I was in awe at all the different cakes and pastries on display, as the detail to attention was stunning and they looked too good to eat. My favourite dessert had to be macaron, which tasted as good as it looked. The other desserts had a subtle/mild taste although were worth the picture still. The ruby latte and caramel hot chocolate were heavenly!
Cons: As many people would say, this definitely is a place for ‘taking pretty pictures’ as the food is pricey. The desserts are overpriced for the small portion size (but I guess that is to be expected).
Overall: This is one of those ‘go-to places’ to treat yourself once in a while for flowery snaps but it does come at an expense
